Software for Disassembly & Circular Economy

Demontage-Prozess

Software for visualizing the disassembly process and calculating recyclability indicators

Politics and business are calling for products to be recyclable and for recycled materials to be used in the manufacture of new products. However, all these approaches are only possible if the relevant material data for the products is available so that they can be recycled in a technically sensible and economically viable manner and made available for the manufacture of new products.

Based on recycling models, the various materials that arise during disassembly must be assigned to material cycles and examined for their suitability for recycling.

Ultimately, there are two variables whose precise definition determines an optimal recycling strategy: compliance and economic efficiency – in other words, the fulfillment of legal and company-specific requirements within an ecologically and economically compatible framework.

The challenges involved are diverse and complex:

The most important information here is knowledge about the materials or substances used in the products. Without this information, it is almost impossible to generate high-quality quantitative baseline data. Calculating or simulating recyclability becomes impossible.

How EcoValueHub supports your circular economy strategy:

With EcoValueHub, you can visualize the interrelationships of the disassembly process for a product in terms of structure, materials, connections, tools, and dependencies, and professionalize your circular economy strategy.

  • Product optimization for new developments
    (design for recycling)

Systematization and documentation of sustainability information

  • Fulfillment of legal requirements and compliance requirements

  • Data acquisition and data determination throughout the product life cycle

  • Creation of specifications for disassembly processes

  • Assessment of environmental impacts

Developing and simulating circular economy strategies

  • Analysis and improvement of recyclability

  • Development of suitable dismantling strategies

  • Conducting recycling trials and IT-supported recycling models

  • Elaboration and evaluation of recycling processes

Who benefits from the EcoValueHub?

EcoValueHub offers added value for numerous players along the value chain, including:

  • Developers who want to design products that are both compliant with specifications and recyclable

  • Production areas that must comply with mandatory requirements for the use of recycled materials

  • Controllers who calculate provisions and costs for recycling end-of-life products

  • Companies that dismantle products at the end of their useful life and return the resulting fractions to recycling systems

Accompanying consulting and services

tec4U-Solutions supplements its software offering with a wide range of training and consulting services covering the following topics:

  • Sustainable product design

  • Pollutant reduction

  • Material composite systems

  • Dismantling capability

  • Recyclability

As a link between the EcoValueHub software solution and its consulting services, tec4U-Solutions also supports customers in the operational implementation of disassembly trials and in investigations into the recyclability of products. To this end, tec4U dismantles the products in suitable workshops, records both the dismantling times and the resulting material fractions, and transfers the resulting visual correlations and data to EcoValueHub. tec4U employees then accompany the evaluation process in the software and prepare a corresponding final report. If required, the results and the implications that contributed to these results can be communicated to the customer in workshops.
